We received the NETGEAR Nighthawk R7300 DST Dual-Band Gigabit Router with DST Adapter first and set it up. Super simple. It took us about 10 minutes to connect it and have it up and running.

We love this. We live in a two story townhome. The upstairs wifi is so weak, it’s a daily complaint. Since this has been hooked up, I have happy teens. The DST gives it’s own wireless signal that has made working, watching movies, and even being on social media upstairs so much more enjoyable.
Philips hue LED White and Color Ambiance Starter Kit
Once the Philips hue LED White and Color Ambiance Starter Kit and Philips hue Go Personal Wireless Lighting System arrived, I was a little overwhelmed. Really not knowing what I was getting myself into, I told Madi once it arrived, here you go, set it up and tell me what you think. I sat with her as she put the bulbs in her standing lamp and set up the wifi connection in a matter of minutes. Within 10 minutes she was having me come back to her room to see the new lighting she picked.
Set the mood with this starter kit, which contains a wireless bridge that allows you to control up to 50 hue and Friends of hue devices and includes 3 LED bulbs to get you started. Just download a compatible app to control the lighting using your smartphone or tablet.
What she loves about the hue Go –
*You can control hue Go with the on-product control or wireless from any iOS or Android device via the Philips hue app (Hue Bridge required seen below).
*The light is portable light you can take or put anywhere. It can be plugged in or carried around with up to 3 hours of rechargeable battery life. Although hue Go is not waterproof, it is designed to withstand high humidity. Great for a courtyard or porch light. That is how I am currently using it at our home.
*And this may be Madi’s favorite part, the hue Go has 5 patented natural dynamic effects: Cozy Candle, Sunday Coffee, Meditation, Enchanted Forest, and Night Adventure. Each dynamic effect has its own mix of colors to set the right mood. Her favorite? At the moment it’s Cozy Candle. But the light offers over 16 million different colors of light all controlled from a smart phone or tablet. Brilliant.
One of the features that she hasn’t taken advantage of, only because the natural light in her room when the sun rises, but hue Go helps you to wake up fresh and energized in the morning with deep dimming. Madi said this is the coolest thing we’ve ever received. With total control of the lights via her iPhone and/or iPad, she can not only have fun with the apps to change the ambiance of her room in a second, but I can also control the light outside but creating custom schedules. I can program the lights to match my crazy travel schedule. I can even set it from gradual sunrise every morning or automatically illuminate your front door at sundown. It’s really awesome!
