Pandora -The World of Avatar at Animal Kingdom is currently the hot ticket in town. I have now experienced Pandora both during the day and at night. I can’t say I like one better than the other except at night, the glow of the lights makes the world a different place. With the sounds of small Pandora animals chirping in the bushes and around the cascading waterfalls, the moment you enter this part of Animal Kingdom you are enveloped into a place you wish to stay forever.
Pandora -The World of Avatar at Animal Kingdom
Pandora – The World of Avatar provides eco-tourists the opportunity to join Alpha Centauri Expeditions (ACE) for the transformational experience of a lifetime—filled with unforgettable expeditions, floating mountains, a bioluminescent forest, winged mountain banshees and more.
In partnership with ACE, visitors of every age will have the chance to explore the values and culture of this exotic place, and celebrate the striking beauty and overwhelming power of the natural world.
Welcome to Pandora—a world similar to Earth… but distinctly unique in so many ways!
Valley of Mo’ara is simply breathtaking. With bright color exotic plants and the floating mountains. Both have a beautiful bioluminescence when the sun goes down. A Na’vi-built drum circle, containing instruments playable by all, but at night they have a show. There are also Na’vi totems and other cultural items found throughout the land.
Avatar Flight of Passage
Hands down the most incredible attraction/ride I have ever experienced is the Avatar Flight of Passage. It’s an all-new expedition that lets interstellar explorers atop a mountain banshee for a breathtaking, first-person flight over the moon’s incredible landscape.
Durning the ride we are taught that bonding with a mountain banshee is a crucial step in the life of a Na’vi hunter and flying on the back of one of these powerful winged creatures represents an important rite of passage. As a visitor to Pandora, this is something you must experience. It’s hard to find the words to describe it other than unbelievable and breathtaking.
From the moment the ride begins, be ready to enter into the world where things look, smell and feel differently. With wind blowing, water spraying, and most of all the smells – you really should ride it more than once and really take it all in. It’s almost euphoric to have all your senses awakened that way.
Na’vi River Journey
Think of It’s A Small World, but Pandora style. Glide down a gentle, mysterious river and feel a sense of wonder as the full beauty of Pandora reveals itself. Located within the Valley of Mo’ara, Na’vi River Journey offers explorers an experience that has to be seen—and heard—to be believed!
The ride is in a reed boat, and it slowly drifts downstream. You go through a series of caves and passing by exotic glowing plants and amazing creatures of the rainforest, and if you look up, you see some feet prints on lilypad – like plants. On the ride, the Na’vi Shaman demonstrates her deep connection to the life force of Pandora—and sends positive energy out into the forest through the power of her music!
