I recently took a mother/daughter trip with my mom to NYC. We didn’t have a real agenda in mind, just wanted to get away to have some good mother/daughter time and catch a few shows and enjoy the city. One thing we got the chance to do was be part of a live studio taping at the Wendy Williams Show. If you haven’t been part of a live studio audience in the past, do it sometime. It’s fun and really interesting to see how it’s all done.
On the set with Wendy Williams
We stopped for coffee and got to the studio about an hour before showtime. We were amongst the first group on the set and it was obvious that some of the audience members take this being on TV seriously. The bathroom was packed for mirror time, fixing hair and makeup. The buzz and excitement was contagious. Wendy fans are fun, outrageous and loyal.
Wendy didn’t have any big stars on at the taping we attended. She did some of her hot topics and shared some beauty products. However, it was fun to watch and be part of a live taping. We were at a Thursday live taping show, but on Thursdays she also tapes her Friday show, so there was an audience coming in after our taping. A full day for Wendy I am sure, but you can tell by the time she spends with her fans in the audience that she loves to connect.
As fun as it was to be there, it was fun once we were finished with the taping to get messages with screen shots from friends and family that watch just to see if they saw us!
Whether you live in the New York area, or you are planning to visit NYC, it’s easy to be a part of Wendy’s live studio audience! All guests must be 18 years of age and a government issued ID required. Wendy’s show tapes LIVE at 10:00 AM, Monday through Thursday, and tapes a second show on Thursday at 1:30 pm. And no worries, tickets to Wendy are FREE!

*Tickets to Wendy Willams are free, but I did receive two VIP tickets giving us early entry, but really, Wendy and staff treats everyone like a VIP. All opinions are my own.
