As I’ve mentioned previously, we’ve been in the process of selling our home. Tedious, tiring process, but alas, the end is nigh! Yay! 🙂 Being new to the process and weary from a previous realtor experience, we were thrilled to meet our new highly recommended realtor. After a couple months of working with her, I can truly say that Anne-Marie, is seriously one of the most hard-working, amazing, genuine women that I have met! Anne-Marie, is a proud mama to a sweet 19 months old girl named Reagan, whom her and her husband adopted. Within a few days of her tiny, new life, they discovered that she has an incredibly rare disorder called Glutaric Acidemia Type 1 (GA-1) which can be fully explained here. In April she suffered a metabolic crisis that has severely damaged her brain. Thankfully they have seen some miraculous progress with various therapies! She is regaining skills and showing improvement far beyond what doctors predicted. These therapies and care are so needed for her development, recovery, and quite frankly, her life.
Vital as they may be, they have run into some hiccups with their insurance company. Between the struggle of their current therapy location moving out of network, and then being informed that they will have a limited amount of therapy coverage next year, (which you can find out more about here), you can imagine the stress that this must bring. As good friends do when they see a need, Anne-Marie & Rob’s friends have stepped up to lend a hand and show support for this amazing family. About a month ago, they hosted an auction via Instagram(@love_for_Reagan) for some amazing hand crafted goodies! This specific auction is what allowed me to be fully informed about what our fantastic realtor was going through and where my heart was captured. I can never imagine being in Anne-Marie’s shoes, but I will say that I can only hope to be half the mother that she is!

So what does being a sports fan have to do with any of this? Well, in addition to the successfully completed craft auction, yesterday they launched an auction via Ebay sporting some fabulous and rare NFL, World Series, and College Football finds like…
All of these items, plus so many more!!
As a fellow UCF Alum and proud Knight, I love the support that UCF Athletics and former UCF athletes are showing for our Knight family!
