Are you a foodie? Do you just love to be surprised with a great presentation and then have the actual meal exceed your expectations? Well, I just returned from spending a week in Vegas and one of the places that my friend, Denise, and I decided to eat at was Guy Fieri’s new Kitchen and Bar Restaurant!
I think we lucked out because we didn’t have to wait more than 20 minutes before we were called on my cell that our table was ready (and the house was pretty packed!). This place had indoor and outdoor seating and we chose outdoors because we like to people watch and it wasn’t as hot as we expected it to be…this is Vegas in August after all.
Awesome menu and friendly service were what we expected and exactly what we received. We especially fell in love with the cloth skull napkins! (They come in red too!) We actually asked our waitress if Guy himself was in the house and she said no. Apparently he comes in about once a month.

Now for our order! My friend had the Chicken Wonton Takeout Salad ! This is the description from the menu: This one-of-a-kind salad has everything but the kitchen sink. Crisp napa tips tossed with mixed greens, mandarins, toasted cashews & the usual suspects, finished with ginger vinaigrette + skewered chicken wontons. But I want to tell you that the presentation was awesome!
I, on the other hand, ordered the The Motley Que Sandwich! Described as “Straight from Guy’s BBQ Krew. Pulled pork shoulder smothered in Guy’s bourbon brown sugar BBQ sauce, citrus slaw, pickle chips, aged cheddar + onion straws…stacked on an “awesome pretzel” bun.” OHHHHH SOOOO GOOD!
My original plan, when I ordered, was not to eat the bread….or eat 1/2 the sandwich in order to stay on my low carb diet but that plan went out the window with the first bite. I cleaned the plate and wish I could have had dessert! (and needless to say a cold beer was enjoyed with each of these meals.)
To announce that we would go back is an understatement. We saw several other guest orders served all around us and truly they were works of art. I wish I could have eaten there every day but we had other restaurants to explore.
I would love to hear from others who have had the opportunity to check out Guy’s newest endeavor. If you have yet to have visited I really don’t think you will be disappointed!

Love this place. The first time went with my sister for breakfast and fell in love! Next time on a solo trip I sat at the bar and had a great lunch! Highly recommend, staff were there that I recognized from the first trip – that says a lot about working there.
