Last week I had the pleasure of participating in a little tastebud heaven. My friends at Disney invited me to take part in a tasting of the for the upcoming Epcot International Festival of the Arts. Held Fridays through Mondays beginning January 13th through Monday, February 20th, the festival is included with regular Epcot admission and features food creations that are little works of art.
Epcot International Festival of the Arts
Here’s a look at some of the items that I tried that will be on the menu.
The Painter’s Palate
Trio of Savory Croissant Doughnuts
First I gave the Trio of savory croissant doughnuts: Whipped Herb Cream Cheese with Sea Walt; Chicken Mousse with Fresh Herbs & Everything Bagel Seasoning; and Spicy Tuna with Sriracha Mayonnaise and Sesame Seeds a try. You can do the same at The Painter’s Palate Food Studio in Odyssey Festival Showplace.
Pop Eats
Abstract-designed Sugar Cookie with Chocolate Hazelnut Filling
Look how fun and delicious! Pop’t Art, (better than a Pop Tart) is a modern-designed Sugar Cookie with Chocolate-Hazelnut Filling at Pop Eats! Food Studio in World Showcase Plaza.
Shrimp Ceviche with Lime Mint Foam
The Shrimp Ceviche with Lime Mint Foam at Pop Eats! can be found atFood Studio in World Showcase Plaza. It’s so refreshingly good.
Cloudem Silver Sparkling Wine
Sparkling gold wine makes a delightful beverage. It was as tasty as it was pretty with the iridescent swirl.
Decadent Delights
Crisp Caramel Chocolate Mousse Bar, Flavored Merengue Kisses, and Passion Fruit Sauce at Decadent Delights in World Showcase Plaza will satisfy the sweet tooth. It’s all so good. Especially those Kisses.
Masterpiece Kitchen
The Triple Chocolate Mousse, Chocolate Crunch, Dark Chocolate Sauce and Gold Leaf from Epcot’s Master Pastry Chef will be at Masterpiece Kitchen Food Studio by the Canada pavilion. It’s texture and flavor will delight you.
Wild Mushroom Risotto, Aged Parmesan, Truffle Shavings and Zinfandel Reduction is also by the Canada pavilion is so good with the reduction, the truffle and cheese…my mouth is watering!

O.M.G. This is hands down my favorite thing of the day. The Classic Reuben with Shredded Corned Beef, Thousand Island Dressing, Pickled Red Cabbage and a Rye Curl – AH -mazing! I tasted everything but ate every last bite of this. I may or may not have licked the plate.
Figment Art Painting with Chocolate Easel
A little departing gift, we received these adorable chocolates.
And by far my favorite drink of the day was the Deconstructed Breakfast: Twinings® Apple Chai Tea Shake with Cream Bourbon garnished with a Waffle Crips and Candied Bacon. They had me at bacon, but the Chai had me wanting another glass.
The Artist Table
Pan-Seared Scallop with Chorizo, Roasted Red Pepper Coulis, and a Parmesan Crisp will be by the American pavilion. The cheese crisp on top with that ginormous scallop….geez, this post is making me hungry.
Cuisine Classique
Make sure to make your last stop to Germany for the Braised Beef Short Rib with Parsnip Purée, Broccolini, Baby Tomatoes and Aged Balsamic. The veggies are equally as good as the beef.
Campo Viejo Rioja Reserva Art Series
Campo Viejo inspires a life that’s more colourful and invites everyone to Live Uncorked. This is why we enjoy working with Okuda & Remed, two acknowledged urban artists with a distinctive style, to capture the expressiveness of Campo Viejo wines through urban art.
Winemaking and art have a lot in common. Just like urban artists who use city streets and spray paints to express their vision of a ‘life more colourful’, our winemakers use Rioja as their canvas and the Tempranillo grape as their brush to create wines which are full of character and authenticity.
Campo Viejo winemakers and Remed & Okuda are bringing ‘Live Uncorked’ to the streets of major cities around the world with a series of #StreetsOfColour events, which invite people to enjoy the artistry of our wines and the live creation of urban artwork.
Different experiences will be taking place on different dates, so keep up with the schedule of events on the Festival website. Guests at Epcot will enjoy songs from some the most loved songs from Disney on Broadway’s favorite award-winning shows like Aladdin, The Lion King, and Newsies. And check out some of the artwork as well.
From the pieces of Disney historical artist Mary Blair and Herb Ryman art of Epcot, to current Disney artists Joe Kaminski and Costa Alavezos, guests won’t only be surrounded by incredible visions, they’ll watch the creative process live.
In the inaugural year of the Epcot International Festival of the Arts, a collaboration with Disney Theatrical Productions will bring an exciting new showcase of favorite music and Broadway talent to the America Gardens Theatre stage. Performances will be at 5:30 p.m., 6:45 p.m. and 8 p.m. Friday through Monday of each festival weekend.
Over the six weekends of the festival, park Guests will enjoy different pairings of phenomenal Broadway talent in concert, performing songs from some of Disney on Broadway’s award-winning shows, including The Lion King,
Newsies, and Aladdin, to name a few.
New Food Studios will showcase culinary creations so delicious and intricate, guests may not know if the menus are for admiring or eating. Disney chefs will surely encourage guests it’s the latter.
And there’s more: hands-on experiences for the whole family, favorite Disney characters channeling their favorite artists, and seminars. It’s a colorful, whimsical celebration of a new artful Epcot.
I was invited by Disney to cover the Epcot International Festival of the Arts. As always, all opinion are my own.
