I shared the time I spent on the fun set of Disney Channel’s all new comedy series Bizaardvark not too long ago. The show takes place at Vuuugle, a YouTube-like studio starring Madison Hu, Olivia Rodrigo, Jake Paul, DeVore Ledridge, and Ethan Wacker. While on the set, we had an opportunity to chat with the Bizaardvark Cast about what it’s like working on the show.
Bizaardvark Cast
Cast to perfection, with real on-line video star Jake Paul as Dirk, he and Olivia Rodrigo as Paige, Madison Hu as Frankie, Ethan Wacker as Bernie and DeVore Ledridge as Amelia, they keep the one-liners funny. They sat down and shared what it’s like to work on Bizaardvark.
When asked if they relate to their characters, Jake was quick to say yes, “So I make videos, and that’s how I got started in this whole thing, and that is essentially what Dirk is doing on the show.” Devore shared, “I am creative like Amelia, but I don’t dress like she does.” Ethan added, “I like to think I am more athletic than Bernie, but we are both optimists.”
Working on a show like this makes you wonder if it’s natural to want to have an online video channel. They all agree that it’s given them the bug. Madison shared, “I had a one a long time ago with Minecraft videos.” “Well, it helps to work with a super famous vlogger,” mentioned Ethan. “Yeah, he gives us really good tips.”
Speaking of tips, Jake shared a few. “Find your niche. Be consistent. You can’t post a video and then stop. You need to hit it every week or every few days, based on what you feel comfortable with to create that brand really.”
Why should families tune in to watch Bizaardvark? Olivia shared that, “it’s a fun show, and it takes you on some great adventures.” With Madison sharing, “it reminds kids to follow their dreams.” “Yeah, you don’t have to be on TV or in Broadway show to express yourself,” added Madison.
With embracing weirdness the theme, and then showcasing their talents, this group of new Disney stars will be on the radar for a while.
Bizaardvark will not be in its regular time slot on Sunday at 8:30 pm EDT with the next all-new episode premiering Sunday, July 10th.
