Children can be the most rewarding thing you will ever do in your life, and naturally, you will spend the first 18 years and beyond revolving your whole world around them. When the kids are young, the only time you will probably have to yourself is probably when the kids have gone to bed. This is between 6 and 8 onwards. Another thing you could do is expand on it by starting a book club with friends. You can meet every so often to discuss the books and have drinks and nibbles.
