We in the East Lammermuirs have all kinds of pollution, our village has it all on our doorstep. The new A1 TRUNK ROAD is a lot nearer than the old A1 was, heavy trucks running on the road day and night, its on about half a mile from the village of INNERWICK south east form Dunbar. Then there is TORNESS power station a mile and a half as the crow flies to the north east of us,then direct north is the Viridor landfill site, just over half a mile from us,Then to the north west we have the cement works Lafarge and Tarmac, this is again only a mile and a half from our village, the destruction to the environment is disastrous. The Lammermuir hills are covered in windfarms, because of everything we have here we have lost direct access to the coast at Barns Ness lighthouse, they should have made an underpass when the road was laid. The East Lothian Council cant even give us a CORE PATH so as we could have the access we lost.
