
Vanilla French Toast
There are some secrets in creating great french toast. I love making it with cinnamon bread or banana bread, they are both super yummy, but after seeing a recipe online for Irish Cream French Toast, I had to give it a try, but with vanilla creamer instead, and I added milk too, for I thought it would be too sweet otherwise. I had a very happy family. This came out delicious. So delicious, it HAD to be a blog post.
I really think using a thicker bread makes it that much better!
Ingredients
- 4 Eggs
- 1/3 cup French Vanilla Coffee Creamer
- 1/3 cup of milk
- Challah (Egg) Bread
- 3 T Butter
- Powdered Sugar
- Ground Cinnamon
- Syrup
Instructions
- Slice bread in to thick slices, about 1″ thick.
- Heat griddle or frying pan over medium - low high heat.
- In a bowl, whisk together eggs, creamer and milk.
- Melt butter on griddle or pan.
- Dip bread in the egg/cream/milk mixture so the bread is wet all the way through.
- Fry each piece of bread on griddle until golden brown. Lower heat will prevent from browning too much before cooked all the way through.
- Sprinkle powdered and cinnamon on top.
- Top with syrup.
